Students use 15 credits of these electives to concentrate on courses that will help them achieve their professional goals including at least one communication course. Students use the remaining 15 credits to earn one of the following professional Majors: It is difficult to underestimate the importance that those with accounting knowledge play in today's business environment.

Students in the Accounting major and in all majors are encouraged to attend professional development seminars and enter case competitions.

Students can also be significant assets to team events across campus, from assisting the Blue Devil Motorsports teams in managing their funds to helping architecture students with startup activities. The degree program is appropriate for students who are considering out-of-college careers in finance and for students who plan to pursue graduate degrees.

Out-of-class opportunities include mentoring local high school students on financial planning and investing. This is an ideal major for students seeking to "customize" their degree program. The Information Technology major builds on the foundational management skills taught in the Business Administration core courses and adds to a student's knowledge of technology to enable communication with technology-oriented clients and employees.

Marketing graduates learn how to create marketing strategies that are executed through digital technology, including the Internet, QR codes, social media, etc. The concentration includes Web Analytics for Marketing, which teaches how to measure whether a marketing campaign is working.

The Office of Admissions should receive completed application packages no later than two weeks before start of classes. Students with 30 or more semester hours completed are required to have a minimum of a 2. Transfer students pursuing a baccalaureate degree are expected to complete a minimum of 60 hours of junior and senior level course work, a minimum of 30 hours of which must be taken at Lawrence Tech.

Students will not receive credit from the above sources if the work is carried out while they are enrolled at Lawrence Tech or during the summer between terms of enrollment.
